Hi friends! Before I get into a weekend re-cap I have to start off by saying, I’m devastated about the recent events in Orlando. My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected by such an unfathomable act of terrorism.
Our weekend was spent with friends & family (some of the best ways to spend weekends). The weather was beautiful. I wasn’t in the mood to complete my planned 3-mile run. In the past, I’d be so upset with myself for not exercising. I’m really trying to not be so hard on myself when it comes to exercise. I’m trying to find a healthy balance rather than having an “all or nothing” mindset. I thought about what I wanted to do (since running was definitely not it). I wanted to take a long walk with “S”. She gets so excited when she sees the ducks.
We ended up walking close to 3 miles (I think my Charity Miles app said we walked 2.7 miles). Seeing the excitement in “S’s” eyes when we were on our walk made my day. I was still active and ENJOYED my exercise for the day. Even though, I didn’t run, I still reached my 10-mile goal for the week.

I also spent some time this weekend making homemade peppermint lip balm! I’ll have the recipe up for you all this week. It was so easy to make!
